Course Description / Objective

PREREQUISITES

There are no prerequisites for joining the course, however it"s recommended that the participant has knowledge about the following:

• Terms which are common in the industrial automation (PLC, remote I/O, etc.)
• Terms which are common in electrical engineering (resistance, voltage, etc.)
• Familiar with Binary and Hexadecimal representations
• Capable of working with at least Windows XP

Course Content

PROFINET Certified Engineer Training  

The "Certified PROFINET Engineer" course is a world wide recognized training program. It"s standardized by PROFIBUS PROFINET International to create a quality platform for PROFINET qualified persons who are acknowledged by an official exam.

This high tech training course provides detailed technical knowledge of PROFINET and the advantages it offers your automation and production processes. PROFINET is using Industrial Ethernet as communication medium, which has lots of myths and grey areas for users like: cabling, security, determinism and speed. This training course will take a close look at these issues so that the participant has confidence to evaluate himself if PROFINET is an appropriate solution for his automation requirements and that he can design a proper application. All Topics will be finalized with a demonstration and practical exercises to get a direct link with the real world.

The training takes 3-days to complete at the end of the course there will be a theory and practical exam. Participants who pass both parts of the exam get the title Certified PROFINET Engineer and are awarded an official certificate.

The Training will take place at the SIEMENS Centre Singapore
Scheduled date will be from July 18 – July 20, 2016

PROFINET plays a primary part in industrial automation and in most cases Certified Engineers are the only ones who can carry out the project. Through the valuable Certified Engineer status, companies and its employees can distinguish themselves from the other companies who are involved with this technology.

The minimum participants for per class is 6/8 paxs. If the course registration participants do not meet the minimum no of paxs, the class will be re-scheduled.

- Course registration is on first-come-first-served basis.

- Full payment has to be made before commencement of the course.

- If participant cancels the course after receiving the official course confirmation, the following cancellation fees apply :

> After confirmation is sent: 100% of order value

> Non Attendance after receiving an official course confirmation, no-show fee of 100% of the course fee will be imposed

If Siemens cancels a Training without offering a replacement, Siemens will provide full refund. If Siemens postpones a Training, the postponement is deemed accepted unless participant cancels the Training within 3 days of receiving the notice; in case of cancellation, Siemens will provide a full refund. Certificates will only be issued to participants with 75% attendance and course fee fully paid to Siemens. Please choose mode of payment when you register your course.
