Course Description / Objective

Unplanned downtimes of production machines can be very costly. This course shows you how to use the SIMOTION D automation system and SINAMICS S120 drive system confidently should a fault occur. You will be able to rectify faults more quickly and make small adjustments to the control program, thereby saving both time and money.

Practical exercises are carried out on a system installed with SIMOTION D, SINAMICS S120 in frame size Booksize, SIMATIC ET200S and SIMATIC TP 177 with WinCC flexible.

Course Content

- Overview of SIMOTION and SINAMICS S120 components

- Engineering system SCOUT and the integrated commissioning tool STARTER

- Structure of a SIMOTION project

- Setting up online connections via PROFIBUS and PROFINET

- Drive objects, components and topology

- Handling the CF-card: structure and backing up files

- Diagnoses with SCOUT and the SIMOTION IT Web browser

- Parameter overview for service purposes

- Service relevant changes to executable control programs

- Diagnosing and replacing of modules, motors, encoders, cables, and HMI

- Analysis of enabling signals and alarms

- Service functions: trace, measurement functions

- Practical exercises on training devices

Note

The minimum participants for per class is 6/8 paxs. If the course registration participants do not meet the minimum no of paxs, the class will be re-scheduled.

- Course registration is on first-come-first-served basis.

- Full payment has to be made before commencement of the course.

- If participant cancels the course after receiving the official course confirmation, the following cancellation fees apply :

> After confirmation is sent: 100% of order value

> Non Attendance after receiving an official course confirmation, no-show fee of 100% of the course fee will be imposed

If Siemens cancels a Training without offering a replacement, Siemens will provide full refund. If Siemens postpones a Training, the postponement is deemed accepted unless participant cancels the Training within 3 days of receiving the notice; in case of cancellation, Siemens will provide a full refund. Certificates will only be issued to participants with 75% attendance and course fee fully paid to Siemens. Please choose mode of payment when you register your course.
