Course Description / Objective

This course deals with the startup, service, and optimization of the SINAMICS S120 in conjunction with the SINUMERIK 840D solution line. You will be trained in startup and service by means of practical exercises on special training equipment. On completion of the course, you will be able to start up drives safely and adapt them optimally to the machine tool.

You will become familiar with the interaction of SINUMERIK and SINAMICS and will thus be able to make optimal use of the system. You will be capable of locating the sources of faults and correcting them. This will enable you to increase the productivity of your machine and reduce downtimes.

Course Content

- Function and use of the SINAMICS S120 modules

- Mechanical and electrical device concept

- Overview of suitable motors

- Controller structure of main spindle and feed drives

- Startup of feed axes of the main spindle in conjunction with the SINUMERIK 840D sl

- Frequency response analysis for optimization the drives

- Handling and parameterization of the drive machine data

- Startup and troubleshooting

Note

The minimum participants for per class is 6/8 paxs. If the course registration participants do not meet the minimum no of paxs, the class will be re-scheduled.

- Course registration is on first-come-first-served basis.

- Full payment has to be made before commencement of the course.

- If participant cancels the course after receiving the official course confirmation, the following cancellation fees apply :

> Within 2 weeks prior to start date of course / after confirmation is sent : 100% of order value

> Non Attendance after receiving an official course confirmation : 100% of order value

The Center reserves the right to reschedule a course in any event, and in such cases, course participants can choose to withdraw without penalty.

Certificates will only be issued to participants with 75% attendance and course fee fully paid to Siemens.
