Course Description / Objective

This course teaches the fundamental relationships involved in designing a drive system with SINAMICS S120. Different SINAMICS S120 applications are calculated using the engineering tool SIZER and this knowledge is reinforced with exercises on PCs.

Upon completion of the course, you will be familiar with the facilities offered by the SIZER configuring tool and you will be able to use the extensive functions effectively for your application. In addition, you will have mastered configuring and calculation of your application and you will be able to reduce engineering costs.

Course Content

- Basics and system overview SINAMICS

- Range of motors for SINAMICS S120

- Selection of the components for a complete drive system SINAMICS S120

- Basics of mechanical calculations of motion control drives

- Basics of electrical calculations of motors, motor modules and infeeds

- Technical documentation: catalogs, configuring information, instruction manuals

- Overview of functions and parameters

- Simple exercise to startup a SINAMICS S120

- In depth exercises with engineering tool SIZER

Note

The minimum participants for per class is 6/8 paxs. If the course registration participants do not meet the minimum no of paxs, the class will be re-scheduled.

- Course registration is on first-come-first-served basis.

- Full payment has to be made before commencement of the course.

- If participant cancels the course after receiving the official course confirmation, the following cancellation fees apply :

> After confirmation is sent: 100% of order value

> Non Attendance after receiving an official course confirmation, no-show fee of 100% of the course fee will be imposed

If Siemens cancels a Training without offering a replacement, Siemens will provide full refund. If Siemens postpones a Training, the postponement is deemed accepted unless participant cancels the Training within 3 days of receiving the notice; in case of cancellation, Siemens will provide a full refund. Certificates will only be issued to participants with 75% attendance and course fee fully paid to Siemens. Please choose mode of payment when you register your course.
