Course Description / Objective

As a maintenance engineer you learn to be able to quickly detect and localize faults in AC-drives (SIMOVERT Masterdrives VC, MC) and check the central functions of an AC-drive system. You will be able to localize the cause of a fault within the drive system (converter, motor) and to rectify faults.

Course Content

• Principle of operation and function of AC-drives:
• Basic functions of converter, inverter, motor and control
• Hardware structure of converters for selected power classes
• Software structure: Setpoints, control and control circuits
• Troubleshooting practical training:
• Interpretation of internal fault messages
• Functional diagnostics of rectifier, inverter, power supply and internal interface modules
• Device-internal hardware tests
• Measures for motor replacement, i.e. data comparison, reoptimization
• Intensive application of the tools DriveMonitor for the analysis of faults and signals
• Procedures for the replacement of a processor boards
• Operational check
• Gathering and evaluating fault information

The minimum participants for per class is 6/8 paxs. If the course registration participants do not meet the minimum no of paxs, the class will be re-scheduled.

- Course registration is on first-come-first-served basis.

- Full payment has to be made before commencement of the course.

- If participant cancels the course after receiving the official course confirmation, the following cancellation fees apply :

> After confirmation is sent: 100% of order value

> Non Attendance after receiving an official course confirmation, no-show fee of 100% of the course fee will be imposed

If Siemens cancels a Training without offering a replacement, Siemens will provide full refund. If Siemens postpones a Training, the postponement is deemed accepted unless participant cancels the Training within 3 days of receiving the notice; in case of cancellation, Siemens will provide a full refund. Certificates will only be issued to participants with 75% attendance and course fee fully paid to Siemens. Please choose mode of payment when you register your course.
