Course Description / Objective

Realize your optimum mobile application for your plant - Wireless Communication is a component of Totally Integrated Automation at Siemens. This course covers the necessary knowledge needed for using Wireless LAN Technology in the industrial field. For this, SIMATIC NET offers SCALANCE W products which you will become familiar with in theory and in practice.

You will know the Industrial Features of the products and their differences to the standard applications. At the end of this course you will be able to configure, design and maintain IWLAN networks.

Course Content

- Wireless LAN communication: standards, basics, features, possible applications, interoperability

- Planning and design of Industrial Wireless LANs with SINEMA E

- Components, design and installation of an Industrial Wireless LAN : Access Points with industrial features (IPCF and Rapid Roaming, Force Raoming on IP Down, Link Check, IP-Alive), antennas and their positioning, accessories,communication processors

- Wireless LAN in Automation (IWLAN) with PROFINET IO

- Evaluation of the diagnosis information from the SCALANCE W products

- Design and lay out of RCOAX moblie network (leaky wave cable)

- Data security in wireless networks

- Management of WLANs

- Extensive exercises

Note

The minimum participants for per class is 6/8 paxs. If the course registration participants do not meet the minimum no of paxs, the class will be re-scheduled.

- Course registration is on first-come-first-served basis.

- Full payment has to be made before commencement of the course.

- If participant cancels the course after receiving the official course confirmation, the following cancellation fees apply :

> After confirmation is sent: 100% of order value

> Non Attendance after receiving an official course confirmation, no-show fee of 100% of the course fee will be imposed

If Siemens cancels a Training without offering a replacement, Siemens will provide full refund. If Siemens postpones a Training, the postponement is deemed accepted unless participant cancels the Training within 3 days of receiving the notice; in case of cancellation, Siemens will provide a full refund. Certificates will only be issued to participants with 75% attendance and course fee fully paid to Siemens. Please choose mode of payment when you register your course.
