Course Description / Objective

The course teaches the essential theoretical fundamentals of PROFIBUS protocols and services. You will learn how to use the tools for startup, service, testing and diagnostics. Learn the different methods of setting up PROFIBUS networks (RS 485 network components, fiber optics) from Siemens, the market leader for PROFIBUS applications!

You will reinforce your theoretical knowledge with numerous practical exercises on TIA devices with HMI components. On completion of this practice-oriented course, you will be able to install and optimize a PROFIBUS DP network, and you will learn step-by-step how you can limit and correct faults quickly.

Course Content

- PROFIBUS fundamentals in accordance with EN50170/IEC 61158

- Overview of PROFIBUS devices and network components

- Connectors, tools, laying, grounding, and shielding

- PROFIBUS message frame structure, message frame traffic, measurements with the BT200

- PROFIBUS diagnostics

- Connecting an HMI device to PROFIBUS

- Troubleshooting

- Introduction to OPC

Registration Method

SITRAIN only accept training registeration by e-PASS. Please register our training courses thru e-PASS. Course Fee listed is excluding 7% GST

Note

The minimum participants for per class is 6/8 paxs. If the course registration participants do not meet the minimum no of paxs, the class will be re-scheduled.

- Course registration is on first-come-first-served basis.

- Full payment has to be made before commencement of the course.

- If participant cancels the course after receiving the official course confirmation, the following cancellation fees apply :

> After confirmation is sent: 100% of order value

> Non Attendance after receiving an official course confirmation, no-show fee of 100% of the course fee will be imposed

If Siemens cancels a Training without offering a replacement, Siemens will provide full refund. If Siemens postpones a Training, the postponement is deemed accepted unless participant cancels the Training within 3 days of receiving the notice; in case of cancellation, Siemens will provide a full refund. Certificates will only be issued to participants with 75% attendance and course fee fully paid to Siemens. Please choose mode of payment when you register your course.
