Course Description / Objective

In this course, you will learn about configuring, programming, starting up, diagnosing and troubleshooting of the failsafe CPUs of the SIMATIC 300. These include the failsafe CPUs of the SIMATIC 300 and 400 series (no H systems) and the failsafe, distributed ET200 systems.

You will put your theoretical knowledge to use with the Distributed Safety software in practical exercises. The course provides an introduction to the creation of safety-related programs in the programming languages F-FBD and F-LAD.

Course Content

- Overview and guidelines

- AS S7-300F (principle, system configuration and I/O)

- Configuring of the failsafe I/O with Distributed Safety

- Programming of a safety-related user program

- Failsafe communication PROFIsafe (CPU-CPU communication, master-slave communication)

- Diagnostics facilities (CPU diagnostics, I/O diagnostics, advanced diagnostics)

- Exercises for I/O configuration, communication, troubleshooting

- Programming examples (emergency stop, protective door, safety-related shutdown, passivation, special programming features)

Note

The minimum participants for per class is 6/8 paxs. If the course registration participants do not meet the minimum no of paxs, the class will be re-scheduled.

- Course registration is on first-come-first-served basis.

- Full payment has to be made before commencement of the course.

- If participant cancels the course after receiving the official course confirmation, the following cancellation fees apply :

> Within 2 weeks prior to start date of course / after confirmation is sent : 100% of order value

> Non Attendance after receiving an official course confirmation : 100% of order value

The Center reserves the right to reschedule a course in any event, and in such cases, course participants can choose to withdraw without penalty.

Certificates will only be issued to participants with 75% attendance and course fee fully paid to Siemens.
