Course Description / Objective
Introduction to the use and application of the SIRIUS range of soft starters (3RW30, 3RW40 and 3RW44) and the Soft Starter ES software. On completion of this course the student will be able to understand the use and application of the SIRIUS range of soft starters. The student will understand the configuration of the 3RW44 soft start unit using the associated software Soft Starter ES 2007. Knowledge of Siemens Step 7 PLC software would be recommended. Persons having automation background could attend this course.
Course Content
• Theory of soft starting asynchronous motors • Load characteristics for different motor applications • Overview of the SIRIUS range of soft starters • Quick commissioning procedures and sample application circuit diagrams • Use of Win Soft Starter simulation software tool for selection of appropriate soft starters • Configuration of 3RW44 soft starters using device interface panel • Configuration of 3RW44 soft starters using Soft Starter ES software • Diagnostic facilities using Soft Starter ES software • Basic introduction to PROFIBUS • Practical exercises in configuration, fault finding and integration into a PLC controlled PROFIBUS automation system

SITRAIN only accept training registration by e-PASS. Course Fee listed is excluding 6% GST
Note
The minimum participants for per class is 6/8 paxs. If the course registration participants do not meet the minimum no of paxs, the class will be re-scheduled.
- Course registration is on first-come-first-served basis.
- Full payment has to be made before commencement of the course.
- If participant cancels the course after receiving the official course confirmation, the following cancellation fees apply :
> Within 2 weeks prior to start date of course : 50% of order value
> Within 1 week prior to start date of course : 100% of order value
Certificates will only be issued to participants with 75% attendance and course fee fully paid to Siemens.
