Course Description / Objective

1. Know the component parts and the principle of operation of   Simatic S7  

    programmable controller and the rules governing handling of the hardware and basic 

    programming of Simatic S7.

2. Be able to use Step7 tools for documenting and testing the program.

3. Be able to use Step7 tools for Diagnostic and Troubleshooting of Faults on the PLC

     system.

4. Be able to program and using configurable blocks, to use analog processing,

    extended instructions, extended function of symbolic programming, interrupt

    processing and communication links via PROFIBUS and PROFINET interface.

Course Content

1. Familiarization with the performance with the performance characteristic of

    PLC and programming devices.

2. Configuring the CPU and the I/O modules by Hardware Configuration.

3. Ability to structure, generate, document and put into operation simple PLC program 

    with SIMATIC S7.

4. Ability to use the STEP 7 tools for generating, documenting, use absolute /  

    symbolic addressing and testing the programs.

5. Programming and using configurable blocks and employing conversion,

    arithmetic,  shift and jump instructions.

6. Handling Data types, data storage .

7. Using STEP 7 tools for Diagnostic & Troubleshooting of Faults on the PLC 

    system.

8. Handling analog modules and the processing of analog values.

9. Configuring and implementing the homogeneous communication links via

    PROFIBUS and PROFINET interface.

The minimum participants for per class is 6/8 paxs. If the course registration participants do not meet the minimum no of paxs, the class will be re-scheduled.

If Siemens cancels a Training without offering a replacement, Siemens will provide full refund. If Siemens postpones a Training, the postponement is deemed accepted unless participant cancels the Training within 3 days of receiving the notice; in case of cancellation, Siemens will provide a full refund. Certificates will only be issued to participants with 75% attendance and course fee fully paid to Siemens. Please choose mode of payment when you register your course.
