Course Description / Objective

The Totally Integrated Automation Portal (TIA Portal) forms the work environment for integrated engineering with SIMATIC STEP 7 and SIMATIC WinCC.

In this course you will learn about the major differences between SIMATIC Manager and TIA Portal, and between STEP 7 V5.x and STEP 7 based on TIA Portal. You will learn how to configure and program a SIMATIC S7 automation system with the "TIA Portal" engineering platform.

You can deepen your theoretical knowledge with numerous practical exercises on a TIA system model. This consists of a SIMATIC S7 automation system, ET200 distributed I/O, Touchpanel, drive, and a conveyor model.

Course Content

1. TIA Portal components: SIMATIC STEP 7 and SIMATIC WinCC.
2. Configuration of devices and networks for the SIMATIC S7 system family.
3. Working with the SIMATIC STEP 7 symbol table.
4. Program blocks and editor.
5. Data management with data blocks.
6. Programming of organization blocks (OBs).
7. Working with troubleshooting tools.
8. Presentation of the operator control and monitoring system (HMI).
9. Backup and documentation of programs.
10. Migration of a SIMATIC STEP 7 V 5.x project to SIMATIC STEP 7 based on TIA Portal.
11. Migration of a SIMATIC WinCC flexible project to SIMATIC WinCC based on TIA Portal.

   The minimum participants for per class is 6/8 paxs. If the course registration participants do not meet the minimum no of paxs, the class will be re-scheduled.

   If Siemens cancels a Training without offering a replacement, Siemens will provide full refund. If Siemens postpones a Training, the postponement is deemed accepted unless participant cancels the Training within 3 days of receiving the notice; in case of cancellation, Siemens will provide a full refund. Certificates will only be issued to participants with 75% attendance and course fee fully paid to Siemens. Please choose mode of payment when you register your course.
